Hi there! My name is Ben and I am the creator behind Palate & Table.
I love cooking and sharing food with friends and family. I spend a lot of time on my days off preparing food for weekly casual dinner parties, and here on Palate & Table I share some of those recipes.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I enjoy working out, a little gaming, or curling up with my cat Billie in front of the TV.
My Food Philosophy
I really enjoy all the intricate processes that go into making a dish, and I get a lot of joy from making food from scratch. I love learning about the history and origins of foods and ingredients. I believe cooking should be fun, it should be shared with loved ones, and of course it should be tasty!
My Background
I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. My experience is mostly in front of house management and training. Throughout my career, I have had the pleasure of working with a number of very talented chefs, and I have learnt a lot of what I now know from them. I have always been interested in cooking for as long as I can remember but I never wanted to be a chef. Thus, Palate & Table is born – where I can share my food without having to bear the heat of a commercial kitchen.
